A Bit About Me
Helping children build confidence, overcome challenges, and discover their strengths has always been at the heart of my work. My journey began in school psychology, where I found the perfect blend of my passions for psychology and education. Working in schools across central Illinois gave me the opportunity to support children from preschool through high school while collaborating closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
My years in the school setting continue to shape my clinical approach today. I enjoy helping families navigate the special education process, understand available supports, and strengthen collaboration between home and school. I believe children experience the greatest success when the important adults in their lives work together toward shared goals.
After earning my doctorate in psychology, I expanded my clinical experience through psychotherapy and comprehensive psychological evaluations. Today, I specialize in evidence-based assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, and other developmental and behavioral concerns. Whether I'm conducting a diagnostic evaluation or providing therapy, my goal is to help families gain clarity, build practical skills, and feel empowered to move forward with confidence.
One of the aspects of my work that I value most is supporting caregivers. My research has focused on caregiver well-being because I believe that when parents and caregivers feel informed, supported, and equipped with effective strategies, children are better positioned to thrive. I strive to create a collaborative, compassionate environment where families feel heard, understood, and confident in the path ahead.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two children, and our dogs. We love being outdoors—whether we're hiking, gardening, or simply enjoying a sunny afternoon together. I'm also an avid reader, a movie enthusiast, and a lifelong lover of the arts.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I look forward to partnering with your family and helping your child grow, thrive, and bloom.
